Network Health Assessment

The Network Health Assessment (NHA) provides a profile of the health and performance of a Cisco or a Bay Networks network. Depending on the network, M5 Systems will assign an expert Cisco Systems Engineer or an expert Bay Networks Systems Engineer to conduct the review and assessment. Every NHA engineer has extensive field experience working with complex, mission-critical routed and switched networks.

As part of the NHA, an expert engineer will do the following:

• Assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of the overall network topology and design
• Review router configurations for correctness and consistency
• Review switch and hub configurations for correctness
• Review utilization and error levels of routers, WAN circuits, and LAN segments to identify potential capacity or reliability issues
• Assess traffic routing patterns by protocol to identify potential inefficiencies

M5 Systems will deliver a report summarizing the health and performance of the network and identifying situations to be addressed and areas where efficiencies can be gained. Corrective action will be recommended where appropriate.
