M5 Systems is
currently looking for qualified candidates for the following positions:
Internetworking
Consultant
Become a member of our highly skilled and experienced team of internetworking consultants
and work with corporate clients to develop and implement backbone, branch office, and
remote access internetworking strategies. Consulting assignments will be in one or more of
the following areas and will require the appropriate technical experience and background:
- LAN/WAN Routing and Switching Systems
Requires a strong understanding of internetworking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP,
IGRP, OSPF, IPX, Frame Relay, SONET, ISDN, Layer 3 Switching, High Speed Routing, etc.)
and expertise in routing and switching systems from Cisco and/or Bay Networks.
- Corporate Network Security Policies and Systems
Requires a strong understanding of network security concepts, including encryption and
authentication methodologies, Public Key infrastructures, Digital Certificates, Operating
System security vulnerabilities (Unix and NT), and experience working with security
systems such as firewalls, proxy servers, VPNs, security scanning systems,
penetration testing tools, and intrustion detection systems.
- Corporate Network Management Systems
Requires a strong understanding of SNMP-based network management, as well as experience
working with HP OpenView and one or more of the Cisco Systems management packages.
Applicants with significant expertise in one of the above areas or with broad
experience in more than one area will be seriously considered. A Bachelors Degree, a
minimum of three years work experience, and excellent organizational, oral, and written
communications skills are required.
Java Developer
Work in Java on the development of an SNMP-based network performance reporting system.
Experience developing in Java, developing an SNMP-based network management product, or
developing a protocol analysis product is required. Good object oriented design and
programming skills are also required. Experience in C++, Unix (particularly Linux), and
the Java Swing API is a strong plus.
